Accounting is commonly seen as the mathematical side of business and this subject attracts the students who enjoy working with numbers. Not only do students learn the principles of bookkeeping, they will learn how to interpret and analyse these figures.

Accounting is a great choice for students considering a career in Finance, Accounting, Corporate Law or Business and Information Systems, to name but a few. Many other third-level courses will also have Accounting modules, such as Law,Law & Business, Management, Hospitality and Commerce.

Students taking Accounting tend to have liked the Accounting paper of Business Studies at Junior Certificate level. A good grasp of numerical and computational skills is an advantage.

At Hewitt College, we are finalising our roadmap to safely guide our students on their Leaving Certificate journey.

For the coming academic year, no external student will be admitted to Hewitt College during term time.

– Supervised Study: These facilities are only available to full-time Hewitt College students.

– Grinds | Extra Subject: Will not be available on campus. We are currently organising our online grinds | extra subject programme.

We apologise for any inconvenience or disappointment. However, our priority must be, as always, our full-time students. We have taken these measures to ensure their safety and continuity of learning.
