Science – April 1st

In 2000, Hewitt College was the driving force behind the exponential growth of Agricultural Science from a minority subject to a mainstream, extremely popular option. Agricultural Science is a popular option for those who are also studying Biology, as there is significant overlap. There is also a project, worth 20% of the overall mark.

An exciting, new Agricultural Science has been introduced. Hewitt College aims to offer continued excellence to Agricultural Science students and will be at the cutting edge of the new developments in this area. In the new specification, the project will be worth 20% and will be completely different from its predecessor.

As there is no restriction on subject choices at Hewitt College, students that are interested in Science and STEM subjects may choose all or any of the following: Agricultural Science, Applied Maths, Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Physics.

Complementary Subjects: Biology, Geography. Students of the new syllabus will find studying Social & Scientific complementary.

At Hewitt College, we are finalising our roadmap to safely guide our students on their Leaving Certificate journey.
