LCVP /LINK MODULE | Leaving Cert

The Leaving Certificate Vocational Programme (LCVP) is a two -year programme. Students study two link modules: Preparation for the World of Work and Enterprise Education.

LCVP students must submit a portfolio of six items (e.g. Curriculum Vitae, Work Experience Diary). This portfolio is worth 60% of the overall marks. Students also undertake a 2.5-hour written examination (worth 40%), usually held in May.

Students must take note of the particular subject groupings which are required to participate in LCVP. These are published annually by the Department of Education and Science and also take at least five other subjects for the Leaving Certificate. Before undertaking LCVP, it is advisable to check that you meet these requirements.

It is not possible to take LCVP as an extra subject.
